Where Did Ecological Day Go?
You may have noticed that Ecological Day is not being offered in 2026. The GBFW organizing committee felt that producers would be better served by building ecologically themed topics into each day of the week rather than separating them onto their own day. As a result, our conference will run for six days in 2026 but presentations will be added to each of the remaining days which focus on farming their respective commodities with an ecological mindset.
The removal of Ecological Day is done in acknowledgment that all producers are stewards of the environment and strive to do the best for their land that they are able. Each commodity has opportunity and incentive to put ecological practices to use in their production system, and we hope that exploring these best practices during the commodity day will provide a more holistic set of discussions than separating the topics out. Please feel free to reach out with any comments or concerns!
