Pre-recorded. AVAILABLE ALL WEEK
The On-Farm Applied Research and Monitoring (ONFARM) program is a four-year, applied research initiative delivered by OSCIA on behalf of OMAFRA to support soil health and water quality research across farms in Ontario. There are 32 cooperator sites on working Ontario farms, which includes 25 soil health BMP paired trial sites and 7 edge of field (EOF) water quality monitoring and modelling sites. Examples of BMP trials are cover crops (single crop and multispecies mixes), organic amendment and reduced tillage. Hear from Bruce County ONFARM cooperators about their involvement in the program, their unique experiences, project activities underway, soil health goals for 2021 and beyond, and challenges faced in the first year of ONFARM. More information about the program is available on the ONFARM website.
