When will the conference be held? 

Grey Bruce Farmers Week 2024 will run from January 3rd - 9th. The days run in order of: Beef, Dairy, Goat, Sheep, Horse, Ecological, and Crops. To see full daily schedules, please head to 'The Event' page of this website.

Where does GBFW take place?

The event is held at the Elmwood Community Centre, which is located at 38 Concession Rd 10, Elmwood ON N0G 1S0, north of Hanover. (Not in Elmvale). Presentations will also be livestreamed for those who cannot make it to the physical conference location. 

Do I Need To Pre-Register?

Pre-registration is required for livestreaming and is recommended for in-person attendees as well. Both can be done by going to the 'Buy Tickets' page on this website. If you are unable to pre-register and plan to attend in-person, you will still be able to purchase tickets at the door on the morning of the event. Cash, cheque and debit will all be accepted. 

How Much Are The Tickets For This Conference?

2024 ticket prices will be as follows:

Individual days tickets: $50 including HST

3 days purchased together: $120 including HST

Full week livestreaming ticket: $180 including HST

How do I purchase tickets for the event?

The 'Buy Tickets' button for livestreaming is on the homepage of this website. If you are attending in-person, you can pre-purchase your tickets online, or you can pay at the door on the conference day you are attending.

How do I access the Livestream, Encore Access and On Demand content?

Once you have purchased your ticket you will receive an email corresponding to each day you are registered for. The email will include a 'Join' button. You can use that to access the conference platform, watch live presentations and view on-demands.

Is This Event Suitable For Children?

GBFW welcomes children to the conference. Please keep in mind that while speakers are presenting their content, we need to show them respect and keep the room as quiet as possible for recording purposes. We leave it to your best judgement to decide if your children will enjoy the event.  

How Do I Enquire About Exhibiting or Sponsoring At This Conference?

Thank you for your interest in supporting GBFW. You can find fillable sponsor and exhibitor forms on the respective sponsor and exhibitor pages of this website. Alternatively, if you are having difficulties, please contact Grey Ag Services (519-986-3756; lorie@greyagservices.ca), and ask to speak to Lorie.

What Day & What Time Can The Exhibitors Set-Up?

Week-long exhibitors set-up from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm on the day prior to the start of the conference (January 2nd 2024). Exhibitors attending individual days throughout the conference can set-up starting at 8:00 am daily.

What Is The Layout Of The In-Person Conference?

The bulk of the trade show and presentations are on the upper level of the Elmwood Community Centre, with meals taking place and a few booths set up on the lower level. Most of the trade show booths run along the perimeter of the upper hall, with two inside rows. The audience members watch presentations from inside the ring of tradeshow booths.

How Many People Attend GBFW?

Over the course of the week, with the audience and trade show we could have as many as 1300 people in attendance. The number of attendees really is dependent on the weather.

Is the in-person event accessible for wheelchairs etc?

Yes, both upper and lower levels of the Elmwood Community Centre are accessible by ramp.  Washrooms are also accessible on both levels.

Do You Ever Cancel Any of the Days Due to Poor Weather?

In times of extreme weather conditions or other situations, it may be necessary for GBFW to cancel a day. Decisions will be made as quickly as possible and will be communicated to registrants with notices placed on the website home page, and broadcast on CKNX and Country 93 radio.  We have not cancelled very often in over 50 years. Unless there are a significant number of road closures, the show will go on, however the safety of all participants is always paramount in our minds.

Where Do I Park?

There is plenty of onsite parking at the hall, with additional parking on the roadside.

Where Can I Find The Conference Program?

Please go to the event page of this website to see daily schedules. From there you can also navigate to speaker profiles and presentation descriptions by day.

Who Can Access Livestreaming?

Anyone can purchase a ticket to livestream GBFW. Please ensure that you have sufficient band width to be able to access the feed. Generally if you can load and watch videos online you should have sufficient band width to stream content.

What Is The Cost To Live Stream?

The cost for livestreaming is the same as the cost of an in-person ticket. In 2023 that is:

$50 per day 

$120 for 3 days of your choice

$180 for the whole week

Are There Live Animals or Equipment at GBFW?

There are no animals, or large equipment at GBFW.
